¡paciencia!

For myself, Im on the cusp of “normal” stores and plus size stores. But when I do want to purchase plus Im instantly deterred by the hefty price tag . Why am I going to pay $65 for a blouse that fits my chest perfectly from City Chic, when I can buy one for $15 at one of the cheap stores in my local discount mall.

I mean, sure the buttons are bursting at the seams, the fabric is pulling from the wrath of my bosom, but with that $50 I saved I can buy myself a pair of slightly snug fitting jeans and maybe even go out for lunch…

But thats just me.

Cheap and frugal. I cant bring myself to spend $65 on shirt purely because its plus sized. Why should I have to pay more? Because there’s a little extra fabric?

Suck it society. If thats the case, large should cost more than medium, medium should cost more than small…

There’s no reason why it should cost more. And that’s when I got excited about discovering the new plus line at Urban Planet.

Now my apologies if your not Canadian, I think the site offers shipping but that Im aware of, the retail store are Canada wide only.

Sorry for the tease my international/US pals.

Some of my fav items from their site ( I saw more in store that were amazing but not listed online)

Burnout Racerback Tank for $10!!!!!!!

Chiffon Button up Shirt $10!!!!!!!!!!!!

The button up shirt comes in tons of colours <3

Neck Tie Chiffon Top also $10 Freakin’ dollars!

The line is very limited and like i said, online even more so. The retail stores carry much more.

But Ladies! Isn’t this a fantastic step!? Finally, cheap plus size clothes making their way into the “normal” stores. It put a smile on my face.

I pay it full homage to my Fatshionista bloggers. <3

incredible outfit. Im a huge fan of mixing feminine and rough/grungy items together

Anonymous Asked:
So i'm a bit on the chubbier side, and i'm kinda self concious of my thighs, what are some bottom possibilities that you could suggest, I could wear, in the upcoming spring/summer?

My answer:

Great question! “Chub Rub” is a huge problem for alot of ladies. My usual summertime outfits are dresses! chunky thighs or not, they are the greatest! If you are shy of exposing your thighs wear dresses a little longer - Maxi dresses / skirts are glorious and you can find them in all sorts of cooling fabrics. HOWEVER, there is no reason you should be shy of exposing them.

For YEARS i was mortified to show my legs, feeling they were too fat, too pale. But i think it took me forcing myself to be comfortable for the summer weather to get over that. I had put myself through the torture of feeling embarrassed by them. I would wear jeans and sweat and be uncomfortable. One day I had enough and just wore a skirt. I bought some fake tanner and slathered that on. It gave me a little bit more comfort feeling like I wasn’t blinding people ( keep in mind these were the days of the JLo glow) Gradually, I started getting lazy and eventually stopped with the self tanner.  Only when I went out, wearing nothing on my legs did I realize that NOONE was looking at my legs. I was being vain to think anyone was paying that much attention to me hahaha

So if your worried about the chub rub- best advice is to wear some biker shorts under your dresses/skirts or try baby powder ( I always carry a bottle in the summer!)

But if your self conscious, just try it. Try going out with your bare skin in the air and FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT! Keep telling yourself there’s nothing to be afraid of, that noone is watching, that your legs are perfect. Even if you don’t believe it, just say it to yourself. I PROMISE you, one day you wont be faking it anymore and that day will be the most empowering day ! :)
